“This campaign is to promote the food of the ethnic minority. Recently, we found that South-Asia cuisines in Hong Kong are gaining their popularity. Because of it, we think it is timely to launch this campaign. Moreover, we have noticed the problem of disharmony between Hong Kong locals and the Ethnic Minority and the problem is getting bigger. Through this project, we hope to narrow the cultural gap between the locals and the minority groups. Under such circumstances, when MEMO ask for a collaboration project with us, our answer is 'Yes, Count us in.' "
CEO of MEMO, Aaron Fung
“We want to launch a campaign in which big corporations are involved to have a bigger impact on society. Immediately, we think of McDonald’s,. Luckily, the answer is yes. With pleasure, we have launched the biggest collaboration together. Through this project, we hope to promote real cultural exchange between the two groups—Hong Kong locals and the Ethnic Minority Groups."
MEMO is passionate on encouraging the locals to accept other minorities’ cultures, in order to make Hong Kong a real multi-folded international city. As Hong Kong people are willing to try different cuisines from all over the world, started from 2010, MEMO has cooperated with different chained restaurants to promote Southeast Asian cuisines. For the experience of the past three years, it allows us to provide different activities in local to encourage the connection between South Asians and locals.
